Job Description

As the Cladding & Latent Defect Project Surveyor, you will ensure customer's needs are met and the departmental/team objectives are achieved. Effectively and professionally deliver Latent Defect Projects, with a focus on cladding and fire safety, ensuring financial performance and high levels of customer satisfaction, quality and value for money are achieved. Client Details Our client are a London Based Housing provider with a great set of values, keen to support residents in the best way that they can around safety and the properties they live in. Description As the As the Cladding & Latent Defect Project Surveyor, you will be: Responsible for providing support and monitoring of day-to-day running of remediation projects assigned Overseeing and managing all aspects of work relating to dealing with latent defects and major remedial works projects Successfully project managing individual remedial works packages to individual buildings Liaising with residents and stakeholders on major defects projects, including dealing with complaints Assisting in programme Leadership Leading managing Project Management Ensure Technical Coordination Liaising with Stakeholders and lead on Engagement Procuring and Contract Managing Monitoring Compliance and Safety Participating in Team Collaboration and Reporting Supporting Development and LeadershipProfile As the As the Cladding & Latent Defect Project Surveyor, you should have: Degree or NVQ in Building Surveying, Building Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field Chartered status with RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors), CIOB (Chartered Institute of Building), or an equivalent professional body Demonstrated expertise in conducting structural, condition, and measured surveys, including related services like investigative reports or other supplementary statutory requirement documentation Experience in overseeing multi-disciplinary teams for complex construction or remediation projects Proven history of adhering to CDM (Construction Design and Management) regulations in the Client role Able to organise own workload and that of others and working to deadlines Knowledge of Latent Defect claims management Proven engagement with large-scale stakeholder communication, including residents and commercial tenants. Ideally some kind of Fire safety-specific certifications (e.g., Level 4 Diploma in Fire Safety, NEBOSH Fire Certificate, Full Membership of the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE)) Ideally but not essentially, Building Control Qualification (e.g., Level 5 Building Control Surveying Diploma) Significant experience managing cladding remediation projects and major refurbishment works from inception to completion Comprehensive understanding of cladding systems, fire safety standards, and building regulations for residential accommodation Expertise in administering JCT Contracts (including IFC, Measured Term Contracts, and TPC Suite).
