Class 1 Driver - Derby
 General Haulage | Curtainside
 £17.50 per hour | Adhoc / Temporary Work | Day Shifts
 05:00-08:00 Starts | 10-12 Hour Shifts | Paid Induction Wednesday 18th March | Start Friday 20th March

We are recruiting experienced Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for a well-established general haulage operation based in Derby. This role offers flexible adhoc and temporary work, with the potential for ongoing shifts for reliable drivers.

Paid induction Wednesday - immediate starts available. First shift Friday 20th March.

The Role

Curtainside general haulage
Palletised loads - no handball
1-3 delivery drops per shift - maximum
Adhoc / temporary shifts available
Day shifts with start times between 05:00 - 08:00
Typical shift length: 10-12 hours
Clean, well-maintained vehicles
Well-planned routes and supportive transport teamDriver Requirements

Full Class 1 (C+E) licence
Minimum 1 year on a Class 1 licence
Recent Class 1 driving experience preferred
Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
Maximum 6 penalty points (no major endorsements)Pay & Benefits

£17.50 per hour

Your hourly pay rate is £17.50, and you will accrue £2.11 per hour in holiday pay for every hour worked. This is banked and paid when you take annual leave. We do this to ensure our drivers are paid fairly and encouraged to take proper time off, as regular rest is essential for driver safety and wellbeing.
