Location Base: Sandtoft (site-based with nationwide deliveries)
Salary: Dependent on Experience
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full-time (Overnight tramping required when necessary)

As a crucial part of the logistics operation, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, legal, and efficient transport of goods, maintaining the highest standards of delivery performance and vehicle care.
Primary Role & Responsibilities
Deliver goods nationwide in a timely, safe, and professional manner.
Maintain a positive and professional attitude in all interactions with customers, contractors, members of the public, and internal staff.
Adhere strictly to driver hours regulations, Road Transport Directive legislation, and all company policies in collaboration with the Logistics Department.
Load and unload vehicles safely and securely, ensuring loads are well-balanced and properly restrained.
Conduct thorough daily vehicle checks, ensuring all vehicles are legally compliant and roadworthy, and reporting any defects promptly.
Complete all necessary delivery documentation, manifests, and vehicle records accurately and on time.
Plan and optimise routes, taking into account delivery schedules and road conditions, and communicating effectively with the Logistics Department about any delays or issues.
Be flexible and willing to undertake overnight tramping and occasional multi-night assignments as required.
What We’re Looking For:
A full UK Class 1 (C+E) licence
Proven experience in a similar Class 1 driving role
Strong understanding of driver compliance, safety regulations, and transport laws.
Excellent route planning, time management, and customer service skills.
A safety-first mindset, proactive attitude, and willingness to go the extra mile.
Flexibility for tramping and occasional weekend work when required.
Access to own transport due to the rural location of the site in Sandtoft.
