Job Description
A&G Resourcing – HGV Class 1 Drivers (Weekends) – Newport and Bridgend
A&G Resourcing is currently looking for reliable and professional HGV Class 1 Drivers to support a well-established transport company with depots in Newport and Bridgend. This opportunity is for weekend work mainly, with ad hoc shifts available throughout the week as well at different rates.
Pay Rate:
• Saturday £15.50/h day / £17/h nights PAYE plus holidays
• Sunday £17.50/h day / £19h nights PAYE plus holidays
• Umbrella payments available rates from £19/h - £23/h (days/nights)
• Weekly salary option available
Driver Requirements:
• A valid HGV Class 1 licence
• Minimum 1 years’ experience as a Class 1 driver
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Strong geographical knowledge
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
Key Responsibilities:
• Delivering to retail and general haulage sites
• Completing pre-use vehicle safety checks
• Maintaining vehicle cleanliness and roadworthiness
• Following all driver hours, tachograph, and road safety regulations
• Accurate completion of legal and customer paperwork
