Class 1 Driver – Telford | £15.00/hr | Ongoing General Haulage Work
Monday to Friday with optional weekend work available. We have day or night shifts available
We are currently recruiting reliable and experienced Class 1 HGV Drivers in the Telford area for ongoing general haulage work. This is an excellent opportunity for drivers looking for consistent hours, day or night shifts, and long-term stability.
Job Overview:

Location: Telford, TF postcode area
*
Job Title: Class 1 Driver (HGV / LGV C+E)
*
Pay Rate: £15.00 - £16.00 per hour.
*
Shift Types: Days, nights, and tramping available
*
Work Type: General haulage
*
Drop Types: Mix of groupage and single drops
*
Load Handling: May involve use of a pump truck but mostly curtain sider work
*
Shift Duration: 10 – 15 hours per shift
Responsibilities:
*
Operate a Class 1 HGV safely and in accordance with UK driving regulations
*
Complete pre- and post-trip vehicle checks
*
Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation
*
Communicate effectively with transport office and customers
*
Ensure timely and professional deliveries
Requirements:
*
Minimum 1 years’ experience driving Class 1 (HGV / LGV C+E)
*
No more than 6 penalty points (minor offences only)
*
Must complete a driver induction prior to starting
*
Must be able to show 60 days of driving Class 1 on tacho within the last 6 months.
*
Comfortable with general haulage operations and trailer handling
