Job Description
Job Title: Class 1 Driver
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Rate: £16.84- £24.14
Hours: 11am, 1pm, 3pm and 5pm starts
Shift Pattern: Flexible
Contract Length: Temporary Ongoing
Location: Lockerbie
Main Duties:
Transport goods via a fixed trunking route between Lockerbie and Motherwell, typically completing two round trips per shift.
Ensure timely and efficient deliveries, adhering to scheduled departure and arrival times to maintain the logistics chain.
Follow all road safety laws and driving regulations, including tachograph and driver hours compliance.
Secure and oversee the safe loading and unloading of goods, ensuring load security and minimal risk of damage in transit.
Complete necessary documentation and reporting, including delivery records, vehicle defects, and incident reports if applicable.
Conduct pre-operational vehicle checks to ensure the HGV is roadworthy and compliant with safety regulations before each journey.
Key Skills:
Proven Experience in a Similar Role
Valid Driver CPC Qualification & Digital Tachograph card
Maximum of 6 Penalty Points
Strong Time Management & Communication Skills
