Job Description
About the Role:
We are seeking a dependable and experienced HGV Class 1 Driver for night shifts assignments beginning 4th August 2025. This short-term opportunity runs for 5 nights with a total of 48 hours expected over the week. The successful candidate will be responsible for long-haul or trunking deliveries, ensuring all goods are transported safely and in compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
*
Operate a Class 1 (Category C+E) vehicle for night trunking or long-distance deliveries.
*
Conduct pre- and post-shift vehicle checks, reporting any defects immediately.
*
Adhere to all road safety, tachograph, and Working Time Directive regulations.
*
Ensure all loads are secured safely and paperwork is completed accurately.
*
Maintain a professional and courteous attitude with clients and depot staff.
*
Report any delays, route issues, or incidents promptly to transport managers.
Requirements:
*
Valid UK HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) driving licence.
*
Valid CPC qualification and digital tachograph card.
*
Minimum 6 months of Class 1 driving experience preferred.
*
Comfortable with night shifts and extended hours.
*
Strong reliability, punctuality, and attention to safety.
Hours per week 48, Mon - Fri 19h00 -06h00
