Pay Rate: £16.25phr rising to £17.10 per hour when full time

Edge Staffing is currently recruiting for a reliable and experienced Class 1 Driver (C+E) on behalf of our client.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established logistics operation offering consistent hours, competitive pay, and long-term stability.
Schedule & Shift Pattern
*
Start Times: Between 15:00 and 19:00
*
Shift Pattern: Rolling 2-week rota
*
Shifts: 10-hour shifts, Monday to Friday
*
No weekends required
*
Night shift role
*
Applicants must be flexible, with occasional early starts based on operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
*
Perform local self-loading collections prior to trunking.
*
Ensure accurate completion of all delivery and collection notes.
*
Maintain a clean and tidy working environment (vehicle and loading area).
*
Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery times.
*
Load and unload roll cages and pallets as required.
*
Work flexibly to accommodate varying job requirements.
Requirements
*
C+E licence (held for 2+ years for insurance purposes).
*
Valid digital tachograph card and CPC card.
*
Maximum of 6 penalty points on driving licence.
*
Confident with self-loading and unloading throughout the shift.
