Job Description

Shunter / Shuttle Driver – Magor

People Providers are currently recruiting for Shunter / Shuttle Drivers to join a busy and prestigious client operation based in Magor.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Class 1 drivers looking for a stable role within a fast-paced logistics environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of trailers across site and between local facilities.

Pay Rates

Days: £17.93 per hour (inc RHP)
Nights: £19.05 per hour (inc RHP)
LTD £18.00 / £19.00 

Shift Pattern

4 On / 4 Off

Days: 06:00 – 18:00
Nights: 18:00 – 06:00

Key Responsibilities

Carry out daily vehicle and tug checks, reporting any defects promptly.
Safely shunt and position trailers across the site using a tug unit.
Work closely with warehouse and transport teams to maintain the smooth flow of trailers and site operations.
Shuttle trailers between the Brewery and Gwent Park as required.
Adhere to all site health and safety procedures and operational standards.
Ensure all movements are completed safely, efficiently, and within operational requirements.

Skills & Experience Required

Valid LGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
In-date Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
Previous shunting experience is desirable; however, full training will be provided for candidates willing to learn.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and use initiative when required.
Strong commitment to safety and compliance.
Flexible and proactive approach to work.
Proven history of safe and professional driving.
