Class 1 Shunter – SE1, London
Pay: £18 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Contract: Temporary until early January (potential for extension)
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Class 1 Shunter Driver to join our client’s busy transport operation based in SE1, London. This position offers consistent weekday work and the possibility of continued employment beyond January for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:

Safely and efficiently shunt trailers around the yard and loading bays
*
Support the transport team to ensure timely trailer movements
*
Carry out vehicle and trailer checks in line with company and legal standards
*
Maintain accurate records of shunting movements and report to the transport office
*
Follow all health and safety procedures at all times
Requirements:
*
Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
*
CPC and Digital Tacho Card
*
Proven experience in a shunting or similar role
*
Strong communication and time management skills
*
Reliable, safety-conscious, and professional attitude
