M4 Specialist is on the lookout for an experienced Yard Shunter in Dunstable!
Brilliant Pay Rates – earn big with premium shifts:
– £22.22/hr – Night
– £23.88/hr – Saturday
– £25.00/hr – Sundays & Bank Holidays
4 on 4 off rota, 18:00 - 06:00.
We're on the lookout for an experienced Yard Shunter to join our night team at a busy distribution centre. If you're confident behind the wheel and know your way around a yard, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
* Vehicle & Trailer Movement: Manoeuvring large vehicles (like HGVs) and trailers safely and efficiently around company premises, yards, and warehouse areas.
* Safety & Inspections: Performing safety assessments and inspections on vehicles and trailers to ensure they are road-safe and compliant with regulations.
* Coupling & Uncoupling: Connecting and disconnecting trailer units from tractor units.
* Site Support: Working within transport, production, or distribution departments to support operations, including the smooth transition during loading and unloading.
* Health & Safety: Adhering to strict health and safety guidelines, reporting hazards, and preventing workplace collisions.
What we’re looking for:
* HGV Class 1 licence (max 6 points TS & SP only)
* Someone who’s reliable, safety-focused, and a team player
