Salary: £17.786/hr, overtime £26.79/hr after 48 hours per week
Contract type: Full-time
Hours: 10-12 hours, 9hrs guaranteed pay
Start time: between 05:00 – 07:00AM
Shift Duration: 4 on 2off, 4 on 2 off, 5 on 2 off – include weekends
Number of drops: between 13-17 drops / day, Hertfordshire and surrounding areas
We’re hiring HGV Class 2 Delivery Drivers to join our busy delivery team!
FTS Recruitment are looking for reliable HGV Class 2 Drivers to work for our customer based in Hatfield, AL10. This is an excellent opportunity to join our professional transport team.
You’ll be delivering home furniture safely and on time to customers, ensuring care and professionalism.
What You’ll Do
* Drive HGV Class 2 vehicles to deliver home furniture across Hertfordshire and surrounding areas.
* Working as a 2 man crew, some installations are required and rubbish removal
* Load/unload furniture safely (with assistance if needed)
* Ensure all delivery paperwork is completed correctly
* Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any faults
* Follow all driving law, company procedures and health and safety regulations
Skills and Requirements
* Valid UK category C (Class 2) licence
* Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
* Minimum age of 25
* Must not exceed maximum 6 points on your driving licence (no TT, DD, CD, IN10, MS50, UT50 or DR1)
* Must be able to work weekends as part of the compulsory rota
* Good knowledge of UK roads and regulations
* Reliable, professional, punctual and safety-conscious
* Strong communications skills for customer interaction
* Previous Class 2 experience preferred – new passes welcome or minimum 2 years/6 months experience on HGV2
* Own transport to get to site
