Job Description
Class 2 Driver
Taskmaster are currently looking to recruit a Class 2 Driver to join our client is based in Branston, Burton-On-Trent (DE14) to start immediately.
Hours: Working a 48 hour week, any 5 out of 7 days.
Pay rate: £14.95ph
Job Description:
* Carry out daily walk-around checks of the vehicle, raising defects where appropriate.
* Inspect load safety before leaving the depot and request for items to be reloaded if necessary to avoid unnecessary damage and so as to ensure safety.
* Drive the vehicle safely in accordance with the law and company policies at all times and be respectful of other road users.
* Check goods off with delivery sites and obtain signature and print.
* Understand tachographs and drivers hours regulations and comply with them at all times.
* Report any accidents as soon as possible in line with the company accident procedure.
* Attend essential training when required.
* Provide excellent customer service.
* Maintain the cleanliness of the cab.
Experience and Qualifications:
* Valid Licensing: Hold an in-date, valid Class 2 licence, CPC Licence and Digi Card.
* Good driving record: Have no more than 3 points on your licence.
* Professional Presentation: Maintain a smart appearance and bring excellent customer service skills with a keen eye for detail.
* Flexibility and Punctuality: Show flexibility in shifts and duties with reliable timekeeping.
* Experience behind the wheel: Previous retail or commercial driving experience is preferred, and multi-drop experience is an advantage.
* Physical Capability: Heavy lifting is required daily, you’ll handle bulky items as part of a two-person team.
