Pay: £14.00 – £16.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
Job Type: Full-time, Temporary to Permanent
Company Overview
We are a well-established Builders Merchant based in Hertfordshire, supplying a wide range of building materials to trade and residential customers. Due to continued demand, we are looking for a dependable and experienced Class 2 Driver to join our team on a temporary-to-permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities
Drive a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle to deliver building materials to customers across Hertfordshire and surrounding areas
Ensure timely, safe, and professional deliveries to construction sites and private addresses
Carry out daily vehicle checks and maintain cleanliness and roadworthiness
Load and unload materials safely and securely
Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and documentation
Provide excellent customer service and represent the business professionally
Adhere to all road safety, tachograph, and company compliance standards
Requirements
Full UK Driving Licence with Class 2 (Category C) entitlement
Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
Previous experience delivering building materials or working in a similar environment preferred
Good knowledge of local roads and delivery routes
Reliable, punctual, and customer-focused
Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling tasks
What We Offer
Competitive hourly rate: £14.00 – £16.00 per hour (DOE)
Opportunity for a permanent position following a successful temporary period
Monday to Friday working hours, with occasional Saturdays as required
Company pension scheme once permanent
