Class 2 Driver - Leeds
Overview
To deliver products to customers within a specific area in a safe and friendly manner. Responsible for the care and upkeep of your designated vehicle. To provide excellent Customer service standards to every customer.
Job type: Permanent
Hours per week: 44.25
Salary: £35,496
Bonus: Paid quarterly, dependent on KPI's
Main Duties
Prepare the vehicle by performing operator maintenance, ensuring all products for delivery are correct and safely loaded.
Complete delivery notes, return sheets, and collect payments as required.
Fulfill any special customer requests as indicated on the delivery note.
Maintain customer confidence by keeping all security and operational information strictly confidential.
Review and verify run sheets and picked orders for deliveries, and plan routes accordingly.
Plan delivery routes and requirements by reviewing schedules and specific customer requests.
Inform customers of any stock shortages or delivery issues.
Return all empty cases and gas bottles, ensuring they are properly stored and unloaded in the designated area.
Adhere to all relevant health and safety procedures.
Complete all required vehicle and delivery checks, submitting check sheets to the distribution manager.
Assist in the warehouse when needed.
Maintain a neat and professional appearance by wearing the correct uniform at all times.
Engage in physical and manual handling tasks as part of the role.Knowledge and Experience required
Strong understanding of safe driving practices and habits
Possession of the appropriate driving license for the vehicle
Effective communication skills
