Job Description
Real Recruitment are seeking experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our client who are a family run haulage company based in Northampton, NN4. Whether you're looking for weekday or weekend shifts, days or nights, we have flexible options available to suit your schedule.
You will be responsible for completing local multidrop deliveries with a focus on safety, time management, and vehicle care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Safely operate HGV Class 2 vehicles.
* Conduct multidrop depot deliveries and collections, ensuring timely and efficient service.
* Secure loads properly to prevent shifting or damage during transport.
* Collection of backloads when required.
* Accurately complete all delivery paperwork or electronic documentation.
* Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any issues promptly.
* Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and other team members.
* Assist with loading and unloading of goods when necessary.
* Adhere to Drivers hours, Tachograph, and road safety regulations at all times.
Requirements
* Valid HGV Class 2 licence
* Driver CPC and Tachograph Card
* Strong knowledge of drivers hours, WTD legislation, and tachograph rules.
* Ability to carry out necessary vehicle checks and report defects accurately.
* A minimum of 12 months recent HGV Class 2 (multi drop) driving experience required.
* No more than 6 penalty points
* No DR, DD or IN convictions
* Good communication and reliability
