Job Description
Each morning you will get a delivery sheet with the days deliveries and collections. These are all using a tail lift and a pump truck so you'll need to be comfortable using these. You will be responsible for carrying out vehicle checks and ensuring the pallets have been secured safely, and you'll be expected to report any problems relating the products or the vehicle, immediately. Clear communication is needed throughout the day with the office to ensure that things are seamless and any problems can be amended as quickly as possible. This is a customer facing role and will require good service skills and adaptability to your situation, e.g. a delivery bay is occupied and you need to park elsewhere. When carrying out collections, you'll need to make sure that the pallets are aligned so that nothing is obstructing you for other deliveries or collections. When you return to site, you'll need to hand over all appropriate delivery paperwork and the keys to the vehicle. You will be expected to keep track of your timings throughout the day to ensure optimal delivery times and customer satisfaction.
