Class 2 Tipper Driver - Rates of Pay:
* Monday to Friday (Saturday's also available) - £16.81 per hour inclusive of your holiday pay.
Class 2 Tipper Driver - Shifts and Hours:
* Monday to Friday (occasional Saturday)
* Start Times: 04:00-06:00 am
* 8 hours guaranteed per shift
Location: Nuneaton
This role is commutable from: Coventry, Rugby, Nuneaton, Bedworth, Hinckley, Tamworth,
Kenilworth, South-East Birmingham and the other surrounding areas.
GI Group are recruiting for a Class 2 Tipper Driver for a position with our client based in
Nuneaton. The ideal candidate will be placed with our well-established client, to support with their peak period starting in December 2025 and running into the New Year. The Class 2 Driver will be placed on a temporary contract, and will be expected to work between the Christmas and New Year period, with the exception of Bank Holidays.
Class 2 Driver - The Role:
This role consists of multi-drop delivery work consisting of food waste collection, the driver is responsible for loading, transporting, and tipping food waste materials using a rigid vehicle, typically a specialized food waste tipper. The duties include collecting waste from commercial premises, ensuring safe loading and operation of the vehicle, complying with driving regulations, and disposing of the collected waste at designated sites. This is a temporary position, and training will be provided on the job. The driver will need to be confident in completing vehicle checks and completing any required defects paperwork.
The Perfect Candidate:
* Will hold a Class 2/LGV C licence entitlement
* Will hold a valid CPC and Tachograph
* Will have a minimum of 1 year Class 2 experience
* Will be over 21 years of age for insurance purposes.
* Will be flexible and able to remain calm under pressure.
* Will be available to working 45-55 hours per week
* Will have the ability to demonstrate excellent customer service and communication
skills and an attention to detail is essential.
