Job Opportunity: Class 2 Refuse Driver 🚛🌍

Our client, a reputable driving service provider in the public services sector, is currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Class 2 Refuse Driver to join their team on a temporary basis in Heywood. This role is vital for supporting waste management operations and ensuring that community recycling and refuse collections run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist Recycling/Refuse Loaders in the collection and disposal of waste efficiently.
Conduct daily vehicle checks in line with Operators Licence requirements, submitting record sheets weekly.
Promptly report any defects or safety concerns regarding vehicles and equipment to the Vehicle Fleet Management service.
Undertake routine maintenance and repairs on the vehicle to ensure compliance with the Road Traffic Act and minimise breakdowns.
Operate the refuse vehicle effectively to meet round targets, enhancing recycling rates and reducing residual waste.
Handle heavy loads during loading and unloading onto the bin waggon.

Requirements:

Valid Class 2 driving licence and CPC qualification.
Proven experience as a Class 2 Driver, preferably within refuse collection or a related field.
References from the last two years.
Updated CV.
