Class 2 Drivers – Tameside (Temp to Perm)
Location: Denton, Tameside
Pay Rate: £15.00 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 3:00pm
Contract Type: Temp to Perm (typically up to 16 weeks via Pickles Recruitment before transferring permanent)
About the Role:
Pickles Recruitment are delighted to be hiring multiple Class 2 Drivers for our established client based in the Tameside area. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable logistics firm that values its drivers and offers stability, great working conditions, and long-term prospects.
Starting your day at the base in Denton, you’ll load your vehicle and head out on routes across the UK, delivering goods safely and efficiently to various customer locations.
This role would suit a professional, reliable driver who takes pride in maintaining high standards of customer service and vehicle care.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects.
*
Delivering goods across the UK from the Tameside depot.
*
Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on time.
*
Handling goods carefully, maintaining load security and product quality.
*
Completing all required paperwork and using handheld systems where necessary.
*
Providing excellent customer service at every drop.
*
Working as part of a supportive and professional logistics team.
What We’re Looking For:

A valid Class 2 (Category C) licence.
*
CPC and Digital Tachograph Card – both essential.
*
Previous experience in multi-drop or nationwide delivery driving.
*
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and compliance.
*
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
*
Flexibility and reliability – early starts and varied routes are part of the job.
