Job Description
Monday to Friday Shifts (40-Hours Per week).
7am till 4pm (Paying £16.00-Per Hour) / or / 3am till 12:00 lunchtime (Paying £16.60-Per Hour).
Temporary to Permanent / Permanent Opportunities.
If you live between Basingstoke and Reading and have a car, motorbike, or scooter, then you will be able to get to work within 30 to 45-minutes.
Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and skilled Class 2 Truck Drivers to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to handle various types of vehicles, including flatbed lorries. You will complete multi drops to commercial clients no consumer customers.
Duties:
* Operate lorries in a safe and responsible manner, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
* Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
* Load and unload goods, securing cargo appropriately for transport.
* Deliver products to designated locations while maintaining accurate delivery records.
* Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
* Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance needs promptly.
* Complete interbranch and client orders to schedule.
Skills:
* Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid HGV licence.
* Strong knowledge of delivery routes and logistics operations.
* Ability to drive various types of vehicles, particularly flatbed lorries.
* Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
* Strong attention to detail for accurate record keeping and cargo handling.
* Good communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
Essential Requirements:
* Must have CPC, Digital Taco Card, and full UK driving license (DVLA check required).
* Worked to deadlines on own, shown initiative to solve problems when delivering.
* Class 2 driving experience in the UK.
* Eligible to work in the UK.
