Class 2 Flatbed Driver – Steel & Metal Fixings Deliveries
Location: Based in St Helens, covering regional deliveries
Job Type: Full-Time / Ongoing Agency Work
Salary: £14.00 – £18.50 per hour (depending on experience)
About the Role:
Driver Hire Warrington is recruiting a skilled and reliable Class 2 HGV Driver to carry out deliveries of steel and metal fixings using flatbed vehicles. This is a no handballing role, with goods loaded and unloaded by forklift or crane at delivery points.
Key Responsibilities:
* Delivering steel and metal fixings to construction sites and trade customers
* Operating flatbed vehicles safely and professionally
* Ensuring secure load strapping and vehicle checks
* Completing delivery paperwork and maintaining good customer relations
Requirements:
* Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) licence
* CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph card
* Experience with flatbed vehicles and securing loads
* No more than 6 penalty points (no DR, DD, or IN convictions)
* Good communication and timekeeping skills
