Job Description
Our client based in Dartford manages the local refuse collections and are seeking some experienced HGV2 Refuse Drivers to strengthen their collection team.
They are recruiting Class 2 HGV Drivers to work Monday to Friday with occasional weekend and Bank Holidays. Collecting from customer’s homes and public areas we are seeking candidates that are real team players, communicate well with their colleagues and members of the public alike and can work well as part of a small team.
Main duties:
* Driving Refuse Truck
* Manually Loading & Unloading refuse and waste can be included on occasion along with driving duties
* Ensuring your load is safe and secure
* Dealing with the General Public with regards to Waste Collections
As part of a small team you will be responsible for driving the vehicle to enable your team with the removal of all types of waste or recycling, whether in plastic sacks, various sizes of wheeled bins, loose items of bulky waste from all properties as directed. To contribute, individually and as part of the team to the delivery of a high quality, professional collection service to all properties as directed. You will need to ensure that collections are completed on the designated day in a professional, polite, and courteous manner.
Hours & Salary:
Hours are Monday to Friday, 6am-4.30pm, very occasional Saturday or Bank holiday cover may be required.
Hourly basic pay rate £16.08 (increasing to £17.36 after 13 weeks completed)
Pay rate for Saturday £24.12 / Sunday £32.16
* 28 days Annual Leave inclusive of 8 bank holidays
