Lycon Recruitment is seeking experienced Class 2 HIAB Drivers for ongoing work across London, specialising in council vehicle lifting operations. This is a specialist and rewarding role for skilled HIAB drivers, offering regular shifts and competitive pay.

Pay Rate: £20–£24 per hour
Start Date: Immediate
Shifts: Weekdays & weekends available
Start Times: Early (6:30–7:00am) or later starts depending on the depot
Role Overview:
You will be operating a Class 2 HIAB vehicle equipped for vehicle recovery and lifting on behalf of the local council. This involves attending pre-planned and reactive jobs to safely lift, relocate, or remove vehicles from public roads, car parks, and other designated areas in accordance with council regulations.
This role requires a high level of precision, safety awareness, and professionalism when dealing with both the public and enforcement teams.
Key Responsibilities:

Operating a Class 2 HIAB vehicle with vehicle lifting attachment
*
Attending scheduled and reactive removal jobs within the council area
*
Safely lifting and transporting vehicles in compliance with health and safety procedures
*
Working closely with enforcement officers and other council departments
*
Completing all relevant paperwork and reports accurately
*
Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting defects promptly
Requirements:

Valid Class 2 HIAB licence (with brick grab or hook) – Essential
*
Minimum 6 months Class 2 driving experience – Essential
*
Previous HIAB vehicle recovery/lifting experience – Preferred
*
No more than 9 points on licence (no DR, DD, or IN convictions)
*
Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
*
Good communication skills and the ability to work with enforcement teams
