Job Description

HGV Class 2 Driver – Temp to Perm
 Location: Rochester
 Pay: £18.25 per hour + Holiday Pay (£20.45 PAYE)
 Overtime: £27.37 per hour (£30.69 PAYE)
 Bonus: Up to £1,300 Quarterly
 OTE: Up to £45,500 + £5,200 Bonus + Benefits
Monday to Friday – No Weekend Work

Rapier Employment are recruiting HGV Class 2 Drivers for a highly respected and established client based near Rochester. This is a temp to perm opportunity offering paid training, guaranteed hours, and excellent earning potential.
Whether you’re newly qualified or experienced, this is a fantastic opportunity to build a long-term career with a company that genuinely invests in its drivers.

What You’ll Be Doing

Multi-drop deliveries (5–8 per day) to customers’ homes
Delivering kitchens and bedrooms to room of choice
Working as part of a 2-man delivery team with a driver’s mate
Completing deliveries within scheduled time windows
Scanning and confirming deliveries
Providing excellent customer service at every stop
Heavy lifting involved
The Role

Start times between 04:00 – 06:00
Guaranteed 48 hours per week
Shifts up to 12 hours
Monday to Friday working (flexibility required during peak)
Vehicles pre-loaded overnight – no loading required
Pay & Rewards

£18.25 per hour + holiday pay (£20.45 PAYE)
Overtime £27.37 per hour (£30.69 PAYE)
Overtime paid for 6th shift
Quarterly bonus up to £1,300

What We’re Looking For

Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
Newly qualified drivers welcome
Maximum 6 penalty points (no DR, DD, IN, CU80)
Valid CPC & Digital Tachograph card
Physically fit (manual handling required)
Strong work ethic and reliability
Good customer service skills
Willing to complete DBS, Drug & Alcohol testing
