Overtime: Saturday £22.43/hr | Sunday & Bank Holidays £29.90/hr
Contract Type: Full-time | Ongoing or Temp-to-Perm
About the Role
Wright Staff Recruitment Ltd are seeking a reliable and professional Class 2 Refuse Driver to join our client’s waste management team in Hereford. This is a great opportunity for experienced HGV Class 2 drivers looking for steady, long-term work with competitive pay and excellent conditions.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate a Class 2 refuse collection vehicle safely and efficiently
* Collect commercial and municipal waste along designated routes, maintaining schedules
* Complete vehicle pre-checks and report any defects or maintenance issues
* Interact courteously with the public and site personnel where required
* Follow all Health & Safety and waste collection protocols
Required Qualifications & Skills
* Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence
* Driver CPC / DQC qualification and digital tachograph card
* Maximum 6 penalty points (no DR10 endorsements)
* Previous refuse collection or commercial driving experience preferred
* Good physical fitness (some manual handling required)
* Positive, team-player attitude with strong communication skills
Working Hours & Benefits
* Typical hours: Monday to Friday, early starts (around 05:00)
* Overtime available and paid at enhanced rates
* Onsite parking provided
* Opportunity for long-term or permanent employment
