Job Description

Class 2 Road Sweeper Driver

Location: Nantyglo
Pay: £14.84 per hour PAYE OR £19.24 per hour Ltd Company
Hours: Monday–Friday + occasional Saturdays/standby

We are looking for an experienced Class 2 Road Sweeper Driver to join a frontline public services team in Nantyglo on a 3-month assignment. This is a hands-on role supporting street cleaning, waste and recycling, and general maintenance tasks across the County Borough.

Key Responsibilities

  * Operate a Class 2 road sweeper on scheduled routes

  * Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and routine maintenance

  * Clean streets, pavements and back lanes to required standards

  * Assist with other frontline services including street cleaning, waste and grounds maintenance when required

  * Attend emergency call-outs as part of the rota

  * Maintain positive communication with the public and represent the service professionally

Requirements

  * Class 2 (Category C) licence

  * Experience driving HGV vehicles

  * Tachograph experience

  * Able to take part in winter standby/call-out rota

  * Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

Contract & Pay

  * 3-month assignment

  * £14.84 per hour PAYE

  * £19.24 per hour Ltd Company

  * Monday–Friday + occasional Saturdays/Bank Holidays
