Class 2 HGV Drivers - Skip Lorries
The Best Connection Oxford are currently recruiting experienced Class 2 Skip Drivers to join our client's busy and growing operation within the waste management and aggregates industry.
This is a fantastic opportunity for skilled drivers with skip lorry experience who take pride in safe, responsible driving and delivering excellent service.
About the Role
You'll be responsible for carrying out daily driving duties, operating Class 2 skip lorries safely and efficiently while complying with all legal obligations and company procedures. This includes following Driver Inductions, Safe Systems of Work, Risk Assessments, and all associated Health & Safety requirements.
What's on Offer
· £15.30 per hour, paid weekly.
· Regular start times between 04:00 - 06:00.
· Prestigious client with modern fleet and clean work.
· Temp to Perm - opportunity for permanent contract after 12 weeks.
· Ongoing support from our friendly team.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out driving duties legally and in compliance with Driver's Hours and Working Time Regulations.
Ensure your vehicle is roadworthy before and during use.
Maintain regular communication with the traffic office regarding daily schedules and progress.
Complete all relevant paperwork accurately and on time.
Report any incidents or accidents immediately to the Transport Team.
Always operate safely and responsibly, protecting both the company and its customers.What We're Looking For
Valid Class 2 licence, CPC card, and Digital Tachograph card.
Minimum 1 year of experience driving similar vehicles.
Previous experience within the waste management or construction industry is desirable.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety
Team player with excellent communication and customer service skills
