GSL Education are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Class Teacher to work across a range of welcoming and inclusive primary schools in the Barnsley area. This is a fantastic opportunity for both experienced educators and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to thrive in a supportive environment.
About the Role:
As a Class Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inclusive lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities. Whether you’re stepping in for a day or taking on a longer-term role, your goal will be to create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment where every child can succeed.
Class Teacher Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
Support the academic, social, and emotional development of pupils across all primary key stages.
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom culture.
Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress and development.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to support pupil outcomes.
Promote positive behaviour and respectful relationships within the classroom.
Participate in school events and contribute to the wider school community.
Requirements for a Class Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Previous experience teaching in UK primary schools is desirable.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
A flexible, proactive, and resilient teaching approach.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
