Job Description

lass Teacher – Y5/6 – Penrith Humly is recruiting a Class Teacher to join a primary school on a long-term basis. This is a full-time role starting 13/04/2026 and continuing until 17/07/2026. This role would suit an experienced Key Stage 2 teacher who is confident planning and delivering engaging lessons across a mixed Year 5/6 class and maintaining strong classroom practice throughout the summer term. What You’ll Be Doing * Planning and delivering high-quality lessons for a mixed Year 5/6 class * Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching to meet individual needs * Preparing pupils for end-of-key-stage expectations * Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment * Managing behaviour effectively in line with school policies * Working collaboratively with colleagues and support staff What You’ll Bring * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) * Experience teaching within Upper Key Stage 2 * Confidence delivering to mixed-age classes * Strong behaviour management and classroom organisation skills * Ability to plan, assess, and differentiate effectively * Commitment to supporting pupil progress and attainment Pay Non-AWR: £120+ per day AWR (from week 13): £168.58 – £232.57 per day (M1 – M6) Additional Benefits * Weekly pay and access to roles via the Humly app * FREE Safeguarding, Prevent & Child Protection training * Ongoing support from our experienced North West team * The most downloaded supply app in the UK * £100 Refer-a-Friend bonus once your referral completes their first assignment Important Information Full-time Start date: 13/04/2026 Primary school-based position Enhanced DBS required (If required, Humly can support with an Enhanced DBS at a cost to the educator) Safeguarding & Rehabilitation of Offenders Act Humly is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
