Classroom Assistant – Carmarthen & Surrounding Areas
Rate of Pay: £89.38 per day
Positions Available: Part-time & Full-time (1 to 5 days per week)
Start Date: asap
Teaching Personnel are excited to offer a rewarding opportunity to join our dedicated and supportive team as a Classroom Assistant in Carmarthen. Whether you’re looking for part-time or full-time work, we have flexible roles available to suit your schedule.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and assisting with group activities planned by the teacher
Helping to develop and implement individual Education/Behaviour Plans and Personal Care programmes
Encouraging independence, self-esteem, and positive behaviour among pupils
Providing constructive feedback to pupils under the guidance of the teacher
Building strong, positive relationships with pupils, tailoring support to individual needs
Promoting inclusion and encouraging pupils to engage with their peers and classroom activities
Receiving on-the-job training to understand school goals and culture
Accessing additional professional development, including valuable Team Teach training
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience working with children is preferred
Experience supporting children or adults with learning difficulties, behavioural challenges, or personal care needs is a bonus
A compassionate, reliable, and adaptable individual with a nurturing approach
Teaching Assistant qualification is ideal but not essential
A driver with access to your own vehicle (essential)
Right to Work in the UK with appropriate documentation
Willingness to register with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) and hold a Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) certificate
Ability to provide 24 months of relevant references, including any child-related work

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
