About the Role:
Teaching Personnel are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic Classroom Behaviour Managers (Cover Supervisors) to join our team for this school and other local schools. This crucial role involves supervising classes in the absence of teaching staff, ensuring that learning continues smoothly while maintaining a calm and positive atmosphere grounded in respect and discipline.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will deliver pre-set lessons, manage student behaviour effectively, and support our commitment to a nurturing school community.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise students during cover lessons, ensuring their safety and adherence to the school’s behaviour policies and Catholic values.
Manage classroom behaviour with confidence and fairness, promoting respect and positive engagement.
Deliver lesson plans set by teaching staff clearly and consistently.
Work closely with teaching and pastoral staff to support students’ welfare and progress.
Report any behavioural concerns or incidents promptly and professionally.
Contribute positively to the ethos and community spirit of the school.
Ideal Candidate:
Experience working with secondary school students.
Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to foster a respectful, inclusive classroom environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach.
Ability to follow detailed lesson plans and provide clear instructions.
Reliable, adaptable, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Commitment to upholding and promoting the Catholic values and ethos of the school.
