The Role
As a Classroom Support Assistant, you will:
Provide consistent, tailored support to pupils with a broad range of needs, including ASD, SLD, PMLD and communication difficulties.
Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups, helping them access learning and develop confidence and independence.
Assist with personal care, moving and handling, and hoist use where required (training can be provided).
Respond calmly and professionally to changes in behaviour, routine or emotional regulation needs.
Build meaningful, trusting relationships that promote engagement, wellbeing and personal growth.

Requirements
To be considered for the role, you should:
Be patient, flexible and nurturing in your approach.
Have experience supporting children or young people (desirable but not essential).
Be confident supporting both 1:1 and small groups.
Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills or be open to further training.
Be comfortable supporting pupils with varying needs such as ASD, SLD or PMLD (beneficial).
Ideally have moving and handling training or relevant experience.
Be willing to support with personal care.
Be open to ongoing CPD.
Have a DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
Access to your own transport is highly desirable due to the school’s locations.
Salary
£88.92 – £91.00 per day, depending on experience, training and qualifications.
