Job Title: Cleaner - Margate Magistrates' and Thanet County Court
Location: The Courthouse, Cecil Square, Margate, CT9 1RL
Hours: 08:00 - 10:00 (2 hours daily)
Contract: Temp to Perm
Rate: £16.50 per hour (umbrella rate)
Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to maintain high cleaning standards at Margate Magistrates' and Thanet County Court. This role requires a candidate who is capable and willing to perform a 2-hour cleaning shift each day, focusing on thorough cleaning rather than just vacuuming and mopping.
Key Responsibilities:
Clean and scrub toilets, polish fixtures, and restock supplies
Wipe down door handles, glass doors, and desks to remove fingerprints and dust
Empty bins carefully, ensuring recycling bags are not mixed with general waste
Maintain COSHH standards during cleaning operations
Communicate in English to a conversational level
Demonstrate attention to detail and a proactive approach
Requirements:
Basic DBS check required
Must wear own black t-shirt and black shoes
No driving license required
Not shy and able to work independently
Holiday Entitlement: 32 days (pro-rated)
