Job Overview

We have an opportunity for a Cleaning Operative to join the facilities team based at our Paragon Customer Communications site in Lancing.

We are seeking an experienced and committed Cleaner, on a part-time basis, to be responsible for ensuring a high level service is provided to create a clean and safe envrionment for all employees across the office.

Hours: Part-time, 12.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday, 4pm - 6:30pm

Salary: £8,264 per annum

This is a permanent opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  * General office cleaning – cleaning desks, vacuuming, emptying bins (general / recyclables / food waste).

  * Replenish consumables as required

  * Clean and sanitise restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and mirrors

  * Clean kitchens/break rooms: counters, sinks, appliances

  * Empty bins; replace liners

  * Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper

  * Ensure walkways and emergency exits are clear and safe

  * Follow cleaning schedules and checklists

  * Use appropriate cleaning agents and equipment safely

  * Report any maintenance issues or hazards to management

  * Adhere to company safety and hygiene standards at all times

  * Monitoring of stock levels

Skills and Attributes we are looking for

  * Previous cleaning experience preferred

  * Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

  * Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures

  * As this is a physical job, this does include manual handling, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods

  * Good communication skills and attention to detail

  * Be reliable & responsible with a flexible approach to work

  * Basic computer skills required for online training.
