Cleaning Supervisor
Location: Norwich, NR4
Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: Full-time | 37 hours per week
Job Description:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Cleaning Supervisor to join a facility based in Norwich. In this role, you’ll manage a team of in-house cleaning staff, ensuring high standards are consistently met across a large and varied estate.
This is a key position within the soft services team, ideal for someone with a hands-on approach, strong leadership qualities, and a passion for delivering excellent service in a busy, customer-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day cleaning operations across multiple buildings
Manage and support two Cleaning Team Leaders and their teams
Allocate tasks, manage rotas, and cover absences to ensure service continuity
Monitor cleaning quality through inspections and audits
Maintain compliance with COSHH, Health & Safety, and waste regulations
Liaise with suppliers, manage stock levels, and order consumables
Report on performance metrics and contribute to continuous improvement
Provide occasional cover for other soft services when required
Candidate Requirements: Essential:
Previous experience supervising cleaning teams
Good knowledge of cleaning standards and best practices
Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Willingness to work flexible hours (early mornings, occasional weekends/overtime)
Desirable:
IOSH / NEBOSH Health & Safety certification
NVQ or ILM Level 2 in Leadership / Management
Experience with CAFM and cleaning audit systems
Full UK driving licence
