Where you’ll be working
You will be an engineering team of an ambitious, diverse and exciting East London borough helping to make the area greener and healthier for all who live, work and play in the community.
We are seeking an experienced Clerk of Works to oversee highway construction and maintenance projects. You will ensure that all works are delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor highway works on site including surfacing drainage kerbing and signage
* Ensure compliance with specifications drawings and relevant standards
* Maintain detailed site records and report on progress and issues
* Liaise with contractors engineers and local authorities
* Support health and safety monitoring and enforcement
Requirements
* Proven experience in highways or civil engineering projects
* Strong knowledge of construction methods materials and standards
* Excellent communication and reporting skills
* Valid CSCS card
* HNC or equivalent qualification in civil engineering is desirable
