About the Role:
Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Clerk of Works with specialist expertise in fire safety and water heating systems to join their team on a part-time basis. Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and inspect construction and maintenance works to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and water heating system standards.
Provide expert advice and guidance to contractors and project teams.
Maintain detailed records of inspections, findings, and recommendations.
Ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with relevant legislation, specifications, and best practices.
Liaise with stakeholders including engineers, architects, and local authorities.
Essential Requirements:
Proven experience as a Clerk of Works or similar role, with a strong focus on fire safety and water heating systems.
In-depth knowledge of UK building regulations, fire safety codes, and mechanical systems.
Excellent communication and reporting skills.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., CIOB, ICWCI, or equivalent).
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across multiple sites.
Desirable:
Membership of a professional body (e.g., ICWCI, IFE).
Experience working on residential and/or commercial developments.
