A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Clerk of Works to join a well-established and growing multi-disciplinary construction consultancy on a work-from-home basis. The team includes Building Surveyors, Quantity Surveyors, and Project Managers with experience ranging from recent graduates to seasoned professionals.
In this role, you will act as the eyes and ears on-site, ensuring construction works are carried out to the highest standards and in full compliance with drawings, specifications, and contractual obligations. This is a key position responsible for maintaining quality control and serving as a vital link between contractors, consultants, and clients.
About You :
Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience, ideally in both new build & refurbishment projects
Proven site experience & providing similar services in your current role
RICS or CIOB accredited construction degree
MRICS/MCIOB/LICWCI qualified desirable but not essential
Confident communicator & experienced in client-facing roles
Managing the client relationship and service delivery on a project-by-project basis
A 'self-starter' able to be trusted to work with a high degree of autonomy & self-motivation
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Willingness to travel to various sites across the Midlands
Full UK driving licenceThe Role
Carry out regular site inspections to ensure all works are progressing in line with approved drawings, specifications, and regulatory requirements
Monitor the quality of workmanship and materials used on-site, identifying and reporting any defects or deviations promptly
Maintain accurate site records, including detailed progress reports and photographic documentation
Attend and contribute to site meetings, working closely with contractors, consultants, and client representatives to support project coordination
Promote safe working practices on-site, ensuring health and safety standards are met and escalating any concerns as needed
Assist in identifying and resolving on-site issues to maintain project timelines and quality
Conduct snagging inspections and prepare comprehensive final inspection reports
Provide ongoing support to the Employer's Agent or Contract Administrator to ensure smooth project delivery and client satisfaction
