Clerk to the Local Governing Body
Part-time | Swale Academies Trust | Various Locations
Swale Academies Trust is seeking an organised and proactive Clerk to provide high-quality administrative and governance support to the Local Governing Bodies (LGBs). This is a vital role ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, Trust policies, and effective school governance.
Key Responsibilities:
Organise and coordinate LGB meetings, including preparing agendas, papers, and accurate minutes.
Maintain governance records, including governor details, attendance, and training logs.
Provide procedural advice and ensure adherence to statutory and Trust requirements.
Support governor onboarding and communication with key stakeholders.
Assist with exclusion panels and disciplinary meetings as required.
Ideal Candidate:
Experienced in administrative or governance roles, preferably in education.
Discreet, diplomatic, and confident managing confidential information.
Knowledgeable about governance regulations and best practices.
A skilled communicator with excellent organisational ability.
