Job Description
We are seeking a proficient Clerk to the Governors to support a cluster of schools for this multi academy Trust in mid Kent.
Based at one of their schools in Sittingbourne, the Clerk to the Governors will support the Local Governing Bodies (LGB) ensuring effective support on governance and compliance with statutory requirements and Trust policies.
Reporting to the Company Secretary, your duties include:
* Take accurate and comprehensive minutes of LGB meetings
* Distribute Agendas and supporting papers in a timely manner
* Advise the LGB on governance regulations and statutory requirements
* Support with onboarding of new governors
* Maintain up to date knowledge of relevant guidance and best practice to support the Board.
* Ad hoc duties as requested by the Chair of the LGB, Headteacher or Company Secretary.
The Clerk to the Governors will bring a minimum of three years experience within a similar role and a good understanding of the education sector and compliance relating to this.
You will be highly professional, bringing first class communication skills and maintain confidentiality at all times.
This is a part time role and salary will be reflective of experience.
