Job Description

Client Representative - PV Solar

Rate: £517.50/day (Umbrella)
 Location: Athlone, Ireland (full-time on-site)
 Project: 100MW Solar Farm

A leading renewable energy developer is looking for an experienced Client Representative to oversee construction of a major 100MW solar project in Athlone. You'll act as the client's on-site presence, ensuring safe, high-quality, and efficient delivery across all phases of the build.

Key Responsibilities

Health & Safety

Monitor site H&S, issue safety observations, and support a strong safety culture.

Review RAMS, conduct audits, and stop work where serious risks are identified.

Support incident investigations and monthly H&S reporting.

Reporting & Records

Produce weekly progress reports and maintain a detailed site diary.

Keep photographic records and maintain logs (complaints, commercial, as-built programme).

Support review of contractor payment applications and risk register updates.

Site Coordination

Liaise daily with the Principal Contractor and lead weekly coordination meetings.

Oversee daily construction activities across civil, electrical, and PV installation works.

Manage relationships with landowners, third parties, and environmental/archaeological stakeholders.

Quality Assurance

Inspect deliveries and supervise setting-out, concrete works, cabling, and substation activities.

Assist with electrical inspections and raise NCRs where required.

Ensure contractors maintain accurate quality records.

Design Review

Review contractor design information for constructability and compliance.

About You

Experience in solar or large-scale renewable/construction projects.

Strong site supervision and contractor management skills.

Solid knowledge of H&S requirements and construction processes.

Confident communicator with strong reporting/documentation skills.

Able to work full-time on-site in Athlone.
