Role Summary
Claire at Amber Mace is recruiting for a dedicated Clinical Lead (RGN) to join the team at a nursing home based in Coventry. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse looking to step into a leadership role or an existing Clinical Lead seeking a supportive and structured environment.
As the Clinical Lead, you will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of clinical care are delivered to our residents. You will split your time approximately 50/50 between clinical (on-the-floor) duties and supernumerary/leadership responsibilities. This role requires flexibility, clinical excellence, and the ability to lead and support a team across varying shift patterns.

Key Responsibilities
Lead by example and deliver hands-on, high-quality nursing care to residents.
Support the Registered Manager with clinical audits, care planning, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Mentor, support and supervise nursing and care staff to maintain high standards of practice.
Monitor and manage clinical risk and escalate concerns appropriately.
Ensure medication is administered safely and in line with policies and protocols.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records and documentation.
Participate in rota planning and staff development.
Act as a point of contact for families, external professionals, and regulatory bodies.

Requirements
Registered General Nurse (RGN) – Active NMC pin is essential.
Minimum 2 years’ nursing experience in a similar setting (elderly care desirable).
Experience leading or supervising a care team (Clinical Lead, Senior Nurse or similar).
Strong clinical skills, knowledge of CQC standards, and the ability to manage complex care needs.
Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
Flexibility to work across a 7-day rota, including weekends as required.
