Salary: £33,952.77 – £39,366.78 (actual salary)
Hours: 24 hours per week (3 days, to be discussed at interview)
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only (44.67 paid weeks)
Location: Specialist education setting (South Gloucestershire)
About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Psychologist to join a specialist education setting supporting children and young people with autism and associated social and communication needs.
This is a rewarding part-time opportunity where you will play a key role in supporting the emotional wellbeing, behavioural development, and independence of young people aged 7–19.
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team (MDT), you will assess psychological needs and deliver tailored, evidence-based interventions. You will also help embed Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approaches across the setting, ensuring consistent and effective support for all students.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct psychological assessments and develop individualised support plans
Deliver one-to-one and group therapeutic interventions
Support the implementation of Positive Behaviour Support strategies
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Provide guidance, consultation, and training to staff and families
Contribute to a supportive and inclusive learning environment
Supervise Assistant Psychologists where appropriate
About You

Essential:
HCPC-registered Practitioner Psychologist
Postgraduate qualification in Psychology
Experience working with children and young people with autism and complex needs
Background in educational, clinical, or care settings
Strong collaborative and communication skills
Commitment to evidence-based practice
Desirable:
Experience supervising Assistant Psychologists
Experience working within multidisciplinary teams
