This will be a hybrid role working mostly from home with regular monthly office days. You should live within a reasonable commuting distance of Abingdon.
About You
With a track record in DevOps and System Administration, you are a technology enthusiast who takes pride in creating rock-solid solutions to deploy software at scale and velocity, willing to challenge the status quo with a passion to learn and embrace new technologies. You communicate well at all levels and through all channels.
Our team is growing, and you will need to be self-motivated, highly organised and able to multitask and prioritise.
About the RolePreservica is an AWS Advanced Technology Partner and a Government and Education Competency Partner, as well as a Microsoft Azure Partner and has achieved the highest levels of accreditation for the security, performance and reliability of our Cloud-hosted (SaaS) solution.
Your prime role as Cloud DevOps Engineer will be to be part of the team responsible for maintaining these standards across our Cloud-based infrastructure and be at the heart of designing and implementing incremental improvements to our cloud operations. Your key tasks will include:
An “Automation first, console as a last resort” attitude in everything you do.
Developing automation scripts for migrations, upgrades, and new capabilities as they are added to Preservica’s product line(s).
Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation on infrastructure, processes, and best practices.
Helping to monitor and resolve incidents on Production instances together with the rest of the Operations team.

Requirements
Knowledge & Experience:
High level of DevOps experience and capability
Experience managing and operating Cloud-based production environments
Experience with AWS, Azure, and SaaS services
Experience with the Linux operating system
Experience with automation/building infrastructure as code
Strong skills in Ansible, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes
Strong desire to share your knowledge with the rest of the team
