CMM Inspector
Salary: £17 – 18 per hour
Location: Eastfield, Glasgow, G72 area
Hours: 37 per week; Monday to Thursday 8am – 4:30pm & Friday 8am – 1pm
Start Date: ASAP

Syntech Recruitment are proud to partner with a high precision component manufacturer who produce complex parts for a variety of regulated industries. We are searching for a CMM Inspector to join their team based near Eastfield, Glasgow G72 area.

CMM Inspector Responsibilities:
Carry out first-off, in-process, and batch inspections of machined components using a wide range of precision measurement tools.
Operate and program CMM equipment, selecting the correct probes and attachments to ensure accurate and efficient inspection.
Develop and document fixturing setups for each product to ensure repeatability and consistency in measurement.
Produce clear, detailed inspection reports, capturing both customer-specific and internal manufacturing requirements.
Review CMM data, identifying and reporting any non-conforming dimensions or trends approaching tolerance limits; liaise with production teams to drive timely corrective actions.
Evaluate and optimise CMM programs, aiming to reduce cycle times without compromising measurement integrity.
Conduct calibration of CMM equipment in line with company and industry standards.
CMM Inspector Requirements:
Strong understanding of machined part inspection, with hands-on experience using a variety of measurement techniques, including CMM, vision CMM, and Shadow Graph systems.
Practical experience with PCDMIS software (essential), with additional knowledge of Calypso software for Zeiss CMMs being highly desirable.
Confident in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings, with the ability to assess components for both dimensional accuracy and visual conformity.
