Job Description
CMM Inspector, £40K, Wolverhampton, West Midlands
* £40,000 salary guide (depending on experience) + pension + 25 days holiday
* Twilight shift (04:00pm – 02:15am)
* Precision engineering business supplying to motorsport, defence, and automotive sectors
Are you a skilled CMM Inspector confident with measurement software’s and experienced in precision engineering? Do you have a strong grasp of GD&T and quality standards in high-spec sectors?
Your background as a CMM Inspector:
* Experience using CMM machines (Aberlink preferred but not essential) and hand tools (verniers, micrometers, gauges)
* Able to read complex technical drawings and apply geometric tolerancing (GD&T)
* Familiar with FAIRs, ISIRs, CofCs and reporting non-conformances
* Comfortable working with various materials including aluminium, steels, and castings
* Ideally experienced in aerospace, motorsport, or defence environments
CMM Inspector responsibilities:
* Perform CMM and manual inspections on machined components
* Generate and modify CMM programs
* Produce clear inspection documentation (FAIRs, ISIRs, CofCs)
* Support quality and production teams with accurate, timely measurements
* Maintain compliance with health & safety and company procedures
