Extra Recruitment are currently recruiting for a CMM Programmer, for one of our clients based in Staffordshire. A successful candidate must demonstrate capability of working independently on complex measurement projects, taking ownership of offline and online programming, measurement strategy, and data analysis.
CMM Programmer Responsibilities:
• Create, optimise, and validate advanced CMM programs using PC-DMIS (offline and online).
• Confidently interpret 3D CAD models, detailed drawings, and GD&T requirements.
• Conduct first article, in-process, and final inspections to customer and AS9102 requirements.
• Produce comprehensive dimensional reports with full traceability and clear presentation.
• Support process improvements and advise on fixture design, measurement strategy, and tolerancing.
• Maintain equipment verification, calibration, and accuracy records.
CMM Programmer Details:
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 PA
Location: Staffordshire
Schedule: Monday – Friday
CMM Programmer Requirements:
• Extensive, hands-on experience programming PC-DMIS
• Strong capability with offline programming from CAD models and advanced macro logic.
• Solid understanding of metrology principles, coordinate systems, probing strategies, and alignment techniques.
• Excellent knowledge of GD&T and aerospace inspection practices.
• Proven experience working with Hexagon / Brown & Sharpe / DEA / Global S CMMs.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and inspection plans.
