Job Description
We’re hiring for CNC Horizontal Borers to join a well-established engineering company based in Ashton-under-Lyne, with day shifts and night shifts both available.,
You’ll be setting, operating, and programming vertical borers to produce high-quality components for a variety of projects, working within a skilled and supportive team.
What’s on offer?
* Days: £19 p/h | Nights: £24.70 p/h
* Day shift: Mon – Fri | 8am – 4:40pm
* Night shift: Mon – Thu | 6am – 6pm
* Plenty of overtime available (paid at 1.5x)
* 3% pension scheme
* Up to 22 days holiday (plus bank hols)
* All PPE provided
* Christmas shutdown
What will you be doing as a CNC Horizontal Borer?
* Setting, operating, and programming CNC horizontal borers
* Interpreting technical drawings and machining components to specification
* Performing in-process checks and maintaining tight tolerances
* Using precision measuring equipment to ensure accuracy
* Supporting continuous improvement and safe working practices
What do you need?
* Proven CNC setting, operating, and programming experience
* Experience with Fanuc control systems
* A strong understanding of precision machining and quality standards
