DC Personnel is currently recruiting for a CNC Lead for our client in LE2. Our client is one of the UK’s leading specialist interior fit-out contractors.
Are you an experienced CNC professional looking to step into a leadership role with a forward-thinking, specialist joinery business?
Job Title : CNC Lead
Location : Leicester
Salary : £45 - £50k per annum DOE plus bonus scheme
Hours : Monday to Friday, permanent role
In this role you will help manage and oversee a specialist Joinery and timber CNC workshop.
The company has a great training structure, experience from any CNC workshop background are encouraged to apply however specifically wood/timber CNC is an advantage.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading and mentoring a team of CNC machinists in a busy workshop environment
Organising machine schedules and optimising workflows to meet production targets
Setting, programming, and operating CNC machines as needed
Collaborating with departments such as quality control and maintenance
Driving continuous improvement across safety, productivity, and cost-efficiency
Maintaining strict quality standards and ensuring project deadlines are met
Tracking and reporting against key business KPIs
We’re looking for a hands-on leader who takes pride in their craft. You’ll ideally bring:
Proven experience managing a CNC team in a workshop environment
Minimum 2 years’ experience operating and setting CNC machinery
Background in timber/wood joinery is highly desirable (but not essential)
Strong communication skills and high attention to detail
A proactive mindset with a drive for efficiency and quality
Strong knowledge of using hand and power tools
